What is Backpack Records?
Backpack Records is a independent record label based in Berlin, Germany. We have released physical music on vinyl and cassettes since late 2015. We have worked with bands from all around the world such as Iris, I'm Glad It's You, Drawstring, Lightcliffe, Redwood, Save Face, After Words, Photographic Memory, Sunnbrella and others.
How long does it take for my order to arrive?
All orders are usually shipped within 2-3 days depending on what day you placed the order. German and international orders are shipped with Deutsche Post. We don't offer a tracking number on regular orders since we try to keep the cost down for our customers, but if you want a tracking number for your order, send us an email before ordering to: backpackrecs@gmail.com. You will receive a confirmation email when your order has been shipped.
This is how long it usually takes for your order to arrive after it has been shipped:
Germany: 2-5 days
Europe: 3-7 days
USA / Canada: 7-14 days
Rest of the world: 7-21 days
If your order has not arrived within these times, email backpackrecs@gmail.com and we will try and help you. Sometimes the postal services are busy, especially around holidays, and might take a bit longer for your order to arrive.
I think I have been overcharged for postage, what do I do?
If you think you have been overcharged for postage, which happens sometimes, please email backpackrecs@gmail.com and we will give you a partial refund. Remember that postage fees also include PayPal and other fees which are calculated as a total postage fee.
What is a pre-order?
A release which is stated as a pre-order means that you can order it before it's original release/shipping date and will ship in the first batch when the records are in store. Sometimes they will even ship before the actual release date!
Do I get anything extra with my order?
Yes, all orders placed via Backpack Records get some cool Backpack stickers and sometimes stickers from our business and band friends. Sometimes we throw in a free download code, some candy, label sampler or other fun stuff. If you order multiple items you might get a free record too!
Something is wrong with my order, can I return it or get a refund?
If your order is damaged please send us a picture as proof to backpackrecs@gmail.com. Send us also an email if you have received the wrong item and we will help you.
Do you accept band submissions / demos?
Yes we do! We really enjoy getting band submissions and listen to everything we get send. All submissions usually get a reply, even if we won't be able to work with you.
If you are sending us your music, please send us a private stream link such as a Soundcloud or Bandcamp link to: backpackrecs@gmail.com. It takes a lot of space to download MP3 files so please try and make it as easy as possible for us to listen to your music.
